What it is

Cursor is a fork of VS Code with AI built into the core. It understands your whole codebase, so you can chat with it about your project, generate and edit code across many files, and fix errors fast — all without leaving your editor.

How it helps you

Instead of writing every line yourself, you describe the change and Cursor writes it, then shows you a diff to review. For beginners it removes the blank-page problem; for pros it removes the boilerplate. It's the main tool we use in our build courses.
